Rather than use those noxious little supermarket packets of chili powder and taco seasoning, I've been making my own out of individual Penzeys spices. Doing it this way also keeps my individual spices fresher. Present recipes are good, but I would not object to something better. Does anyone have a killer recipe? I would like flavorful, but not hot (i.e., easy on the cayenne). TIA

Ron, I have a Fajita seasoning recipe and Emeril's Essence if you like..here's the Fajita:
* Exported from MasterCook * Fajita Seasoning Recipe By :Busy Cooks Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:05 Categories : Marinades-Seasonings-Rubs Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 tablespoon cornstarch 2 teaspoons chili powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon sugar 3/4 teaspoon chicken bouillon cube -- crushed 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon cayenne 1/4 teaspoon cumin Combine all of the ingredients. Pour into a small airtight container and store in a cool, dry place. Makes the equivalent of 1 packet of commercial or purchased seasoning.
Don't wait too long to tell someone you love them.
