This pizza turned out really great. It was one Jean's crusts and I used her 'cubing the cheese' method to get the soft pillows of cheese. We loved it! We did one version on the grill and one in the oven on a stone and like the stone better.

DH would drool over that one--- I used the cheese bits (thanks, Jean!) but far less of them.
Laura, yours looks like one I got at a wood-fired-pizza place a few years back and
still daydream about!

We love pizza - I don't have a stone but have a huge cast Iron
Pizza plate -
Guess I will try to make one tomarrow - We use the cheese pillow
of Jeans also.
Found some whole milk Mozzarella cheese it wonderful called Polly-O

Mary, do you remember the large round cast iron griddles a number of us were talking about a few years ago? I got one at that time and that's what I use in the oven. I put it in when I heat the oven and use the large paddle to slide it on. Is that what you have? If so, it works great.
The cheese 'pillow' are the best way I've ever added cheese, I think.

I went out and bought one of those, after this discussion. I haven't seen it in a while, which leads me to believe some child of mine borrowed it and has "forgotten" to return it
Should track that piece of iron down...
