Watched a Movie Last Night

  Re: (...)
It was such a good one - we brought three from our library and this one was the first. Sneakers

I grabbed it because of the incredible cast - Redford, Dan Aykroyd, Ben Kingsley, River Phoenix, Sidney Poitier, David Strathairn and Mary McDonnell

It was such a fun caper movie. And everyone in it was so good. You all seem to be more movie buffs than I am, so you've probably all seen this one, but I never had.

Can't remember the other two we have.

Congratulations.

Seriously, that was one of Redford's better recent films. I enjoyed it. Wish he would have something new that actually went back to the quality of The sting, Three Days of the Condor, or All the President's Men.

I'll have to remember this since we usually rent a couple of movies while at the beach.

Labs, we just bought the remastered edition of The Sting and are looking forward to watching it.

Vicci, The Sting is still one of my favourite movies and, of course, I love the Scott Joplin music they used.

Jean, Sneakers is one of those megacast movies that was actually worth getting all that talent together. The Great Escape and The Magnificent Seven were a couple of others.

I can't believe "Sneakers" came out 17 years ago! Seems like yesterday.

My favorite Redford films are so very mainstream - Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid (maybe my favorite film ever), and The Way We Were.

I can watch them over and over and over again.
