The Pineapple crisp was wonderful!
But alas there were no Pineapple Martinis... He forgot. But we did have a plain old regular martini.
Which reminds me of a t-shirt my mom used to wear. It said:
One Martini, Two Martini, Three Martini, person!

Okay, so I found "Minute Tapioca" by that "K" company today while picking up a salad for lunch. Will that work?

LOL! Laura yours is hilarious! While not as funny, we have one at our house; "One martini, two martini, three martini, floor."

I will remind you of an earlier post--Quote Dorothy Parker--

Laura, that's hilarious. Your mom sounds like a blast.
Okay, so I got the pineapple and tapioca today to make the crisp, but won't be making it until Saturday because I'll need to give away a good part of it, but it sure does sound good. I'm thinking my dad is going to be real surprised with this one, as he always loved my mom's pineapple bars.

Jean,
I'm so excited!! I haven't had fresh pineapple in ages! My folks used to own a home in the Dominican Republic and when we would visit over the holidays, we'd eat pineapple and mango so much, for the first few days of vacation, our mouths would be sore.
Then we'd load up with pineapple and avacados (grown in the yard) and limes to bring back home. Oh yeah, and fresh pork bacon!

All I have to say is that whoever posted this recipe is an "evil evil evil person". Bob wanted to know why I bothered to put it in a fancy little bowl - shoulda just put the baking dish on the table between us with a couple of garden trowels!
That was so amazingly freakingly good!!! Jean I love you!
