I made a huge piece of smoked salmon yesterday. Have a few people coming over for lunch.
Do you think if I shred some and blend it with cream cheese, I will end up having salmon cream cheese spread? Is there a special recipe for that?

I'd use crème fraîche or sour cream and cream cheese to make it spreadable. I did this once to make wraps and added a piece of lettuce, chopped cucumber and tomato. It turned out GREAT! Good luck!
OH, I also added a little fresh chopped dill, salt and pepper to taste!

I make this a lot - I add:
Smoked salmon, shredded
cream cheese
creme fraiche (if I have it, if not, a little sour cream, or mayo if it needs thinning a tad)
capers
chives
lemon juice
pinch of cayenne
and now, corn!! roasted corn
We loved the addition of corn to the spread.
