Sake 75 Review

  Re: (...)
OOOOPs, I just told Trixxee I hadn't made anything out of the Sandwiches & Salads book - but...I lied

We made the Sake 75 drinks a few days ago and had them again yesterday - they are great! Not sweet, just a great hot weather cocktail. Now, I need more sake.

For those of you who don't have this one, here's the drink -

makes 4
1/3 c fresh lemon juice
1/3 c powdered sugar
1 cup sake
1/2 c gin
Ice cubes
lemon juice
powdered sugar

Whisk lemon juice and powdered sugar together till dissolved.
Pour into a cocktail shaker along with sake, gin, and ice; shake to chill.

Dip rims of 4 champagne flutes first in lemon juice, then in powdered sugar (We did this the first time, but didn't really care for it, so not anymore.) Strain cocktails into prepared glasses.

Flutes up in salute!!

Ooooh. Those sound interesting. Thanks for the review AND the recipe.

I don't have that book - yet. Let us know if you like it. I know most of the recipes are from past issues - not new. I am wondering if it is worth buying.
