Has anyone noticed anything odd today? Everytime I open my browser, which opens to a blank page, and I come here my antivirus goes nuts and tells me it has found an intrusion

XPAntivirus Detected

and goes into a whole removal process even making me reboot.

I thought it might have been another site I also had open so did the removal, came back and ONLY opened this site and BAM within 2 minutes my antivirus is going nuts again

Haven't noticed, but could you narrow it down to a particular topic thread, perhaps, so I may examine the page's source code?

Well it popped up again when I didn't come to this site. I went symantec's site for removal and followed their instructions but don't seem to have any of the files in my registry they mention. So I'll take it to work and run a full diagnostics on my pc....oh joy.

  1. Close out any programs you have open.
  2. CTRL-ALT-DELETE to launch the task manager.
  3. Click the maximise button to have the task manager fill the screen.
  4. Click the "Processes" tab to show individual processes.
  5. Click the "Image Name" column header to sort by name.
  6. CTRL-ALT-PrintScreen to capture the screen to the clipboard.
  7. Close the task manager.
  8. Start MS-Paint.
  9. CTRL-V to paste the captured image into MS-Paint.
  10. Save the image as a JPG type file (remember the name and where you saved it).
  11. Post the image to http://imageshack.us
  12. Post the link here or in a private message.
I'll let you know if anything in the process list looks fishy.
