Hi everyone

woke up to snow today - and off and on all day - thank heavens it didn't stay.

Have been on vacation - my sister and husband came from florida and so we went
down oregon coast and to Eastern Washington - Tried some very good wines
and some awful wines. - but had fun.

they drove to airport yesterday and hit snow in Everett - couldn't believe it.
They are safe in florida now. - 80 degrees! and it's so cold here.

Yes, it's strange alright. 77 degrees two days in a row here in Ohio! A few years back we had a major snowstorm this same week. Sure has been a treat to open all the windows.

Marye, we're heading over to easternn Washington this Wednesday - the following weekend is one of the barrel tasting weekends. So much fun.

Which wineries did you try and which were liked and disliked?

We had sleet yesterday for about an hour and when I woke up this morning we had about an inch of snow on the ground. It's gone now.

Jean have fun.

In Washington, we went to Mary Hill - wonderful on Colombia River
had serveral more we wanted to go to but time didn't permit.
I would go to Hedges, Kristel, and( K-Vinters in Walla Walls )
on the Washington side.(although finding the great wines at little known
wineries are most fun. ) -
we stayed in McMinniville, oregon - discovered we weren't Pinot Noir drinkers
but did go to one called - Amiee Anne - that was very good.
Sister and her husband had wine shipped - we know we can go back anytime so
didn't buy any this time.
Except for the Weather - we had a great time - talking about the wines.
and of course drinking them.

Where are you going ? hope the weather will start to be better.

Love going to Maryhill!! Had our last bottle of theirs this past weekend. There are certain wineries participating in the tastings this weekend so will concentrate on them. Any time left over, we have to go to L'Ecole and a couple other favorites.

and fingers crossed for the weather!
