Poison Ivy!

FYI

I just wanted to pass along that alcohol, either rubbing alcohol or even alcoholic beverages, if applied within 10 minutes of exposure will break the bind which the plant oil in poison ivy has on your skin. Then you wash it away. I've done this before and it really does work.

I brushed against some this afternoon while cleaning out areas of maple seedlings around the house and took that opportunity to open a bottle of beer. I only needed a little to rub on my legs, Jack and I split the rest, and the afternoon seemed to be a bit nicer!
