A Painting To Share

One of my friends is an art teacher at the local high school and she painted this picture for my sister Carol. She is a dear person and quite talented.

I totally agree, "At least I can cook...kind of". I've always wanted to be able to sew, or draw, or something, but I just don't have the patience or the talent.

Jan, you hit the nail on the head-my first thought was how soothing and peaceful this painting is. Painting a pretty picture is one thing, conveying emotion, quite another.

I just wish that now that I have the time I don't have the room to do all the stuff I used to do. That's the way it goes though.

Did you ever take a class at your local community college or even at the local high school? My dad took some great cooking classes taught by a professional chef. Many years ago, I took some drawing and painting classes and we had people in class that had never tried to draw anything, but they wanted to learn. You might surprise yourself. Maryann
