Since our newest person to join in, David, is a professional chef, and Jean is too, I would be curious to know who else out there has had formal training.... you know, CIA, Cordon Blue, etc..

David - congratulations!!! have a great time and remember to keep it fun!

There is never quite the heated discussion between chefs then when discussing the number and which are the Mother Sauces...will be waiting with bated breath to hear what you are taught at your school.

Are you practicing your knife skills as we speak????

P.S. Ooooops, sorry DFen911, thot you were "David", but just read the other thread - God, I'm so confused this a.m., think I need to go back to caffienated coffee....
