This is another one of those holidays we don't usually celebrate, but I'll be interested to see what you guys come up with. And margaritas are good any day...especially Brendaritas!

Oh, I love Cinco de Mayo! And, I'm not sure, but think something happened last year to cause us to miss it. So, we will be joining in for sure.

Not sure if I have your recipe for Brendaritas, Jean. Will have to check later.

You bet - Brendaritas!!!

Here they are if anyone is interested -
BRENDARITAS (MARGARITAS) - THE BEST!

Brenda Horton was our realtor in California who became a very good friend - and could she ever cook Mexican food - she is Mexican and learned from her Mom. We named these in her honor because they are so good!

Fill a glass with ice, add 2/3 of the glass with Jose Cuervo Mix, add 1/2 (to 3/4) a shooter glass of tequila (preferably Patron, 100% de guave), a splash of contreau and orange juice.
Pour all into a shaker and shake, pour into a margarita glass.

And of course, that glass must have a salty rim!!

Maryann, I HIGHLY recommend trying these! They are THAT good! The only drawback with this is the Patron, which I HIGHLY recommend. I can't get it in small amounts, so I will have to splurge on a fifth? Pricey, but well worth the splurge! It will take us through the summer with the BEST Margaritas EVER!

Our Giant Eagle has an "in house" liquor store which is very convenient. They have a huge display of Patron. Now I know why!
