What's for dinner for everyone today?

Run around day for us exploring the area, so who knows where we will land.
Retired and having fun writing cookbooks, tasting wine and sharing recipes with all my friends.

We have to drive south to Amish country today to pick up a porch swing, (b-day present for Ron Sr.)so I'm thinking we should eat out there.

Has anyone received issue #107 yet? Mine came today along with the premier issue of their new recipe magazine "Celebrate the Seasons", mostly repeats though.

CA is cooking the roast chicken she found on FB, I'm making tater tots for a side.

I didn't eat my Jersey Mike's roast beef sandwich at our picnic today so I will have that. Tony is down in San Diego with his company at the horse races - buffet provided for him.

Kind of nice to have a break from cooking.

I did good to get off the bed this morning. OIY! We had a funeral at the church today, and I was asked to make potato salad for the family meal (30). I guess I've finally come out of the culinary closet? Anyway, there was just enough left for our dinner, so I figured barbecue chicken made sense? Planned on spatchcock on the grill...out of gas. So I roasted it in the oven with granulated garlic and Mrs. Dash. Looked so good, it seemed a sin to douse in sauce. The crust was super yummy!

Just a note, we lost a dear friend this week. He had been going through chemo and got really sick. His son (a nurse) went to get him and our friend had a heart attack two days later. His son managed to resuscitate him, but Doc never regained consciousness. When the family notified us they were taking him off machines, William raced up there to see him one last time. His funeral is tomorrow. I decided to combine the trip with a dining experience. We'll have lunch here, http://www.coppersrestaurant.com/menu-3/ before the funeral. It's going to be a rough emotional day!

We were planning to have C@Hs Honey-Lime Fajitas, but the ride we took with the sheriff's department ended with burgers and hot dogs, so we're just snacking tonight. However, the ride itself was sooo fun! We rode all through the North Georgia mountains with a police escort. That means not stopping at stop signs or red lights for the entire ride! I need these guys to ride with me more often!!!

It was a benefit for the Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes, and a ride I will definitely want to do again!! The fajitas are on the menu for tomorrow.
