Re: (...)
HI,
We are having a sausage tasting party. I will be going to a local smoke house and will get about 10 different kinds. What kind of appetizers and side dishes do you think will go well with it?
Thanks a bunch

Bruschetta
Green salad with a fresh vinaigrette
Sausages always go well with onions and peppers - maybe Jean's Onion gratin.

Sausages are kind of heavy, and sometime spicy, so I would go with something cool, like a nice fruit salad and/or a pasta salad.

Fruit platters are wonderful with sausages.
Simple lettuce and tomato salad
French fries or potato fritters
pickled onions (cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, etc)
fried apples
honey mustard
a stir fry of peppers and onions
sauerkraut
geez, I could go on and on.

It would probably be good to have a broad selection of condiments handy, as well - especially a variety of mustards.
If blueberry muffins have blueberries in them, what do vegan muffins have?

All sounds good...I will have variety of mustards. Thought of maybe doing some baked beans and a salad.

Baked beans are kind of heavy and it is a tasting party, not dinner. You may want to think more finger food or things you can serve on cute little skewers. Although, I do like the idea of a salad. Good advice here. I even checked Culinary Artistry and everything is covered here.
