Re: (...)
Y'all post images of your final results....I am a super ignoramus when it comes to tech thangs..
DH is a professional photographer (among other specialties
) and he is sooo intense, complicated and passionate about this hobby that I become totally confused when he tries to explain the process to me.
I DO NOT WANT to use a professional Canon with all of the bells and whistles and blah, blah, blah...
How do you...simply, please...get your images to the board?
Be gentle, be kind
I would really love to share some of my final results with you. Good, bad, indifferent...

Well Roxanne I will put it as simply as I know how. If you have ANY questions, please feel free to ask me to clarify.
1) I take a picture with my ordinary digital camera (no bells or whistles added).
2) Then I go to photobucket website (
www.photobucket.com) and upload them.
3) After they are uploaded I receive another website address for the photo (I think this is called a hosting address and is located below the photo). I click on this to 'copy' it.
4) Then I post my message at the forum. During posting there is a box below my message that says things like: URL, Email, Image. I click on image and then I 'paste' my image hosting address here.
5) Click enter and you are done.
Try it once or twice and see. And again, if you have ANY questions we are all happy to help. I'd love to see some of your dishes!

If you do it the way Laura posted, you don't have to use the UBB Code in the box below the message box on here...it already has the "tags" (?). You just paste what you copied into your message. Just be sure to choose the one that has the IMG in front of it. I think there are four choices...the IMG is the last one. This appears when you hoover your mouse over the image in Photobucket.

Some people will do ANYTHING to avoid real housework. LOL!
Seriously: I still prefer
ImageShack. At least they don't require you to sign up for an account just to host some images. Of course, with either service, the accounts ARE free, but I consider ImageShack to be even MORE free, since it doesn't require registering with your email address unless you want additional features, whereas PhotoBucket ALWAYS requires registration.

Sure, but using it to post pictures to PhotoBucket that way really sucks.
