What's on the menu for everyone today??
Twice-baked potatoes today, I think and a salad.

I'm making Jean's Chicken Carinc. I'm having rice and French Green Beans for sides.

Trying to start the week off in relatively healthy fashion - rotissiere chicken, smallish baked potatoes with light sour cream and chives, and steamed broccoli, zucchini and yellow squash.

I just got home after 8 days in DC and western Pennsylvania. It's freezer diving tonight...either deep dish pizza or adobo flank steak tacos.

Wow, using the 'hot kraut' from the Brats yesterday to make the Twice baked potatoes made a great dinner today. Added a little cheese to the mix, also.

Jean, that's an interesting dish! What is hot kraut?
Well, I went on a cleaning binge today that started at 8 a.m. and by 4 I still didn't know what we were having for dinner. So, took the lazy way out and went to a popular deli that is known for their corned beef sandwiches and purchased a pound of hot, cooked corned beef to make our own sandwiches.

Maryann, I made it yesterday to go with the grilled brats -
from the #4 Grill book
CONDIMENT - Hot Kraut *****
This condiment goes with the 'Bourbon Beans' and brat dogs.
3 strips bacon
3 cups sliced onion
3 cups chopped green cabbage
2 Tbs prepared yellow mustard
2 Tbs sugar
Salt to taste
(Note: I added a few flakes of crushed red pepper flakes)
Source
Source: From Cuisine at Home Grilling book #4 – Both of these (the 'kraut' and the 'bourbon beans') are ‘cheap & dirty’ recipes.
