Our house was built in the 50s and has some strange designs in it. There is a 'corridor' just inside the front door going from the living room to the hallway - right out of the corridor is to the bedrooms and left is to the kitchn.
But there is also the dining room behind the pantry that opens to the kitchen also (think an island....). Anyway, wehen we moved in on one side of the corridor was an open closet with sliding doors and the other side had shelves with no sliding doors. We put in metal shelves in the one side and just started cramming things in.

I drew up what I wanted and Roy did such a great job of redoing the whole area, got rid of all the dark 50s woodwork. Light green with white shelves.
