Our first September here I got the bright idea that I would make grape jelly from juice from the winery. I got one batch of the red made and project got forestalled by the onset of the side effects from my meds and my darling OCD daughter who kept reminding me that you can buy jelly in the grocery store. The 2 containers of grape juice have been in the refrigerator since then.
Well we're going through things, sorting stuff, getting rid of stuff, and paring down. Bob looked at those two containers and announced it was time to dump them - but first I suggested that we should taste; perhaps we have vinegar??????
Nope - we now have 5 bottles of Island Escape Red (the label will show a U-haul truck speeding away from the marina) which is a delightful, almost sparkly Mogen Davidy wine that is probably too easy to drink! So spurred on by the success of that he grabbed to white "juice", commenting that there was some brown gunk in it (yeast). We tasted and thought we'd died and gone to a lovely place - so we bottled 7 bottles of Island Escape White! All of the bottles are corked and under refrigeration.
Now if we just knew some wine lovers who occasionally visit us to help us taste test them again?????

You only live once . . . but if you do it right once should be enough!
