Okay--I know this is off topic but I just had to share this once in a lifetime experience. I was walking through our dining room, which faces toward the Atlantic Ocean, right about 8:45 p.m.---dusk to nighttime here in the southern hemisphere. I have been hearing a bit about this comet that could be viewed in our skies on the radio talk programs throughout the week. I NEVER see these events that everybody else seems to witness....
Yup---there she was---what an incredible sight. I went to google a site for your possible interest but nothing there was even remotely close to the real deal. It was the size of a very large star and the tail was very long. It did not seem to be moving that fast but when I saw it it was on the horizon---otherwise I could have had DH snap an image--sorry I missed that opportunity. Science and astronomy fascinate me.......as I ramble, sorry!!!
And last night I saw THREE shooting stars---guess what the wishes were---
