Happy birthday, Roy!

Just for giggles, I made some seitan today. So far, it seems to have turned out pretty well. We'll find out tonight, when I'll be using it in a stir-fry.
If blueberry muffins have blueberries in them, what do vegan muffins have?

Happy Birthday, Roy!

We worked late again, so we just grabbed a couple burgers on the way home.  Blush

The seitan turned out great. It could have used a little more spice mixed into the dough and a little more flour (or less water) for a firmer texture.

My mom thought it was chicken, at first, then thought maybe it was eggplant, but she liked it and was surprised when I told her what it really was.

I'll definitely do this again, sometime , but don't worry: I shan't be converting to vegetarianism any time soon.

Labs, what did you do with it? Make a burger, use it in a casserole....?

I'm going to the meat store for a nice steak to put on the grill. Grill/roasted sweet potatoes and something green on the side.

Happy belated birthday to Roy!  We are having breakfast for dinner - blueberry pancakes, sausage and a mixed melon bowl.
