Nevermind!!! Pumpkin Ideas
#11
  Re: (...)
I came on to ask for help using my 6 cans (don’t ask… ) of pumpkin I have in the pantry. On the way, I scrolled thru the recipes I have in Living Cookbook and MasterCook. Now, I’m thinking I have to buy some more. Geez!

Easy ideas -
Chickpea, Pumpkin, and Sage Stew
CHOCOLATE CHIP PUMPKIN MUFFINS
Kahlua Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream
Pumpkin Goat Cheese Fettuccine Alfredo with Crispy Fried Sage
PUMPKIN PIE - LIBBY'S FAMOUS PUMPKIN PIE - ONE PIE*****
Pumpkin Spice Pull Apart Bread
Pumpkin Waffles
-------
152 ideas popped up in MasterCook (some of these call for pumpkin seeds)

Pumpkin Rice Pudding
Tuscan Pumpkin-White Bean Soup
Upside Down Pumpkin Cake - C2C
Caribbean Shrimp-&-Pumpkin Chowder
Pumpkin French Toast
Chocolate Pumpkin Brownies
Pumpkin Marmalade
Pumpkin Poblano Corn Pudding

So, nevermind!

It's interesting - I really don't like my chocolate messed with, but I sure do like the combination of chocolate & pumpkin.

You left off one thing Jean, and it happens to be a favorite of Michael's, who loves pumpkin.

PUMPKIN MILSHAKES. Oh so good. That is my way of getting an extra serving of a fiberous fruit/vegetable in him.

I never measure but the pumpkin puree, vanilla ice cream (though I can see that any caramel infused ice cream would be even better), milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg. Top with whipped cream sprinkled with cinnamon.

One of my favorite flavors from East Coast Custard is their pumpkin custard that they make in the fall. Somehow, I never thought to make myself a milkshake! Yum.

Jean, I have made the tuscan pumpkin white bean soup and it's delicious!

Jean, your original post is too funny! I'm not a big pumpkin fan, so I'm useless. I started to mention subbing it for butternut squash, but usually those recipes call for diced and roasted squash. Wouldn't work for your purée.

That sounds really good. I'm wondering Jean . . . a little spiced rum??

One of our faves is a Pumpkin Chocolate Marble loaf, and Pumpkin Frozen Yogurt.

Of course Opie gets a spoonful of Pumpkin in his breakfast. Thank you for your post, it reminded me that we forgot to get him pumpkin at the store today.
You only live once . . . but if you do it right once should be enough!
