I'm pretty much stuck in the house today as our street is being paved and can't drive on it so I'm making something I normally would not make on a school day. An Anne Burrell recipe for braised pork shoulder.

Pork tenderloin with caramelized onions and apple (don't have an apple so will use a pear instead). Leftover spinach puff and maybe some roasted potato wedges.

We're going to grill a hanger steak tonight. A bit of a splurge dinner . . . I found a special deal on a frozen Lobster Mac & Cheese so that will be the side for the guys (one bite for me) and a salad with raspberry vinaigrette. Depending on how good I am today we might have whole grain crostini with pear, manchego, and honey comb for an appy.

We had Chinese take-out as it was a busy day for both of us. I hope to be cooking more by next week.

Denise, I am so incredibly happy for you!!!
