For crying out loud, today starts the days getting shorter and I don't think P.A. has even hit the 70s yet!!!!!

What's on the menu for everyone?

We'll be stopping at the casino on the way home to change the bed and wash unmentionables, then off again.
Retired and having fun writing cookbooks, tasting wine and sharing recipes with all my friends.

Sheesh, Jean, wish I could send our heat your way. The last few days have left me wiped out. The heat is killing me, and it isn't even 90! Getting old sucks. I slept 12 hours straight two nights ago.

Not much idea as far as dinner goes. I pulled two boneless pork cutlets out of the freezer and will probably kabob them. I have some nice tomatoes to use and hope to pick up some green vege while out today. I hope the farmer has more of those delicious peas! All I do know is that the stove and oven will not be on at all. Grilling is the only option these days.

Me too, highs in the 90's the rest of the week with high humidity. I think it will be burgers and slaw.
Practice safe lunch. Use a condiment.

Oh kabobs sound nice. It's really hot here too. Not exactly sure what the temp is, but it's humid. My lettuce, spinach and arugula is going nuts! We barely finished the last batch and a whole new one is ready.

Tonight for dinner I hope to make the skillet chicken, but I am going to do it on the grill. I will let you know how it all works out. Indirect heat, wood chips for that smokey flavor and all. I can't wait. Oh and a nice big salad, of course!

I don't know, but it will most likely be something on the grill. It is still in the 90's here. And it's just June!

Laura, sounds like you are feeling better. I hope you aren't overdoing it!! Can't wait to hear how the chicken dish turns out on the grill.

Hot and humid here, too, Lorraine.

A longtime girlfriend is coming for an early supper, so I've prepped the Beef Wellingtons with port sauce from C@H (an older issue), green salad and sourdough toasts with an herbed olive oil for dipping. And C@H's choc espresso flourless cake, also an older issue, for dessert. That's so close to mine I think I'll stay with my tried and true. Mine's just a few less steps.

That's probably the extent of my cooking this week.

PJ, that dinner sounds delicious.

We're on day 13 of above 90-degree weather, and day 12 of keeping sod alive. Fortunately the grass looks great, but I bet our water bill won't!

I'm grilling fish tacos using a recipe I found on epicurious. I hope they're turn out well. Fish still intimidates me a bit.
