Anyone ever made this??? I was at the market the other day and saw this stange broccoli looking thang-----
I would assume that one could cook this as one does "regular" broccoli???
I also noticeed purple ones---I went with the green---

You can cook like you do brocoli but it tastes closer to cauliflower. I've sauteed it in a pan with a bit of slice garlic. If you over cook it, it doesn't get mushy but gets a grainy and real fibery texture which is pretty nasty.
It's very popular in Italy. I saw more of the purple variation as garnish rather than being cooked.

HHMMM--thanks, Denise---I will keep the cauliflower in mind.
I have it staring at me soooo---will cook accordingly---interesting looking vegetable, to say the least!!!

You can steam it, too, or just eat raw with a dip. Pretty for a crudite, though the purple might throw someone off.
I've never had it, but I have seen it. Picky likes broccoli, wonder if he'd eat this (but not purple!!)

I've steamed them. I serve them at Christmas (when I can find them) because they look like Christmas trees.
