Happy Ground Hog Day! - HomeCulinarian - 02-02-2009

The news just announced that the ground hog saw it's shadow so 6 more weeks of winter! Boo hoo! Enough already!

We had a tiny dose of Spring yesterday when the temp climbed to 50 degrees in the afternoon! Just long enough to melt some of the ice off the house, then dipped back down into the 20's again. Looks like we'll be wearing heavy coats for a while, since the groundhog is usually right.

Of COURSE there will be six more weeks of Winter: today is February 2, and the vernal equinox (i.e. start of Spring and end of Winter) is March 20 - six weeks away. LOL!

Just six more weeks would be something to look forward to for us LOL
I'm afraid it's going to be cold and snowy here for a bit longer than that

I guess I shouldn't brag. Crocus are coming up - and it's been so nice this weekend we've had the doors open and worked in the yard. I guess that ends Thursday for a few days. Shoot.

Well, Labs, aren't you the spoil sport! But right none the less...except for Cis...poor thing. I guess you don't miss what you don't know. I'll try to save my spring pics for later in the season this year.

6 more weeks...that means nothing to me Our winter has been far too warm here for my liking.
