Okay, that was fun! - Bizymomma - 09-18-2006

Okay guys,
There were quite a few participants for this last dinner. I know Cis still has to do hers, but I can't wait to find out what's next!!!!!

Jan is new...maybe she should pick!

I second that nomination!! Part of the initiation process, Jan-----

I agree...but, Jan, do you have any of the magazines?

Re: Okay, that was fun! - Half_Baked - 09-18-2006

That's very nice of you all but I've never even had one of the magazines...my subscription should start arriving in a couple of months.

I know if I go out and buy them, I'll get the back issues in the mail.

While we're waiting, I have a brisket in the slow cooker and so far all I've added is a can of diced tomatoes, 2 Tbs minced garlic, a bay leaf, and some salt....ideas? I'm going to serve whatever it ends up being over pasta.

If it's a trimmed brisket why not add some chopped onions, chopped bell peppers and chopped celery along with some beef stock with tomato paste dissolved in it. Instant fusion--Jewish, cajun, italian

Bill, that sounds pretty much along the lines of what I wanted, I just couldn't get my mind around it, it just didn't want to work for some reason. The tomato paste should thicken it up just a mite shouldn't it?

Well, let's see - dollop hasn't chosen a dinner, Bill hasn't, BillyJ - have you?? Roxanne hasn't forever...

Re: Okay, that was fun! - bjcotton - 09-19-2006

I think I did Jean, but can't remember. You know I'm getting old and CRS!

Billy, wasn't the beer braised briskey your choice?
