RE: Busy and AWOL - labradors - 07-13-2018 Here's my list, not counting a few seasonal items and some "gluten-free" experiments:
RE: Busy and AWOL - Mare749 - 07-13-2018 Very nice menu, Rob. Glad that business is good. RE: Busy and AWOL - Mare749 - 07-13-2018 Very nice menu, Rob. Glad that business is good! What are bakewell tarts? I know you probably told us previously, but I'm drawing a blank. RE: Busy and AWOL - labradors - 07-13-2018 A Bakewell Tart is a British tea treat with a thin layer of raspberry preserves and a ground-almond mixture called "frangipane." RE: Busy and AWOL - Harborwitch - 07-14-2018 Those all sound wonderful. I wish we were close! Bob had to pick up our loaf of sourdough from Pacific Sourdough at the Farmers' Market this AM. They make the best sourdough How and what are the gluten free experiments going? Do they sell well? Since I'm livin' the "life" I'm interested. RE: Busy and AWOL - labradors - 09-02-2019 The "gluten-free" stuff doesn't sell as well as some other things, but it varies. One recipe for Vegan, Gluten-Free Chocolate-Chip Cookies is surprisingly good since it is primarily based upon chickpeas. Unfortunately, the extra time needed to isolate them as much as possible from other things I'm baking the same day often means that I just can't get to them. Try the recipe, though, even non-vegans are amazed by how good they are. RE: Busy and AWOL - Harborwitch - 09-11-2019 They sound interesting Labs! Now that I can't have garbanzo beans it might have to wait until I can wean them back into my diet. I'd commit several crimes right now to have a huge pile of falafel in front of me! Darn gut issues. RE: Busy and AWOL - labradors - 09-15-2019 Well, phooie! Sorry those can't be of help to you. Maybe a coconut-flour version of Snickerdoodles? |
