End of Hurricane Season - labradors - 12-01-2017

Yesterday was officially the end of Hurricane Season, so now we can start using up this year's bottled water, Spam, etc.

Anyone have any plans, or will you just gradually work the stuff into everyday meals here and there?

We keep an ongoing pantry in the basement with things like canned tomatoes, soups, tuna, and extra coffee, but since we mostly use fresh food, the pantry contains only a fraction of what it used to have. We don't have extreme weather here except for the occasional winter storm that everyone is used to. I guess if we had a weather emergency, we would mostly be SOL. Sad

I started using mine up about a month ago, so I don’t have much left. Big Grin

Well . . . we don't have hurricanes or tornadoes here, we do have winter storms.  None of which matters since we are moving to Oregon.  The problem is that we had no idea that this was going to happen . . . so we were busy stocking up the freezer and "pantry" for a winter without pay.  Now we are having to pack all this crap up to move!  Sigh.

Tomorrow we begin our new adventure!

We will keep you  posted!  I talked to the new "boss", she has a corn tortilla soup made for us for dinner tomorrow!  She and her husband sound like such great people, lots of fun - and foodies in abundance.

I hope you landed safely, Sharon!
