using ice cube trays - Mare749 - 05-21-2017

Saw this article and thought I would like to share. I use plastic cube trays to freeze a number of items, but this gave me even more ideas!

I currently freeze cubes of ginger, pesto and almost any other fresh herb that I don't want to waste, chipotles in adobo, tomato paste, evaporated milk, and sometimes coconut milk if I don't use it all. I pop out the cubes, wrap in small pieces of plastic, then put into small freezer bags. Very convenient to have these on hand. I even made cubes with lemongrass once, but they lost their fragrance.

Great ideas here, Maryann! The one I've never frozen is the Saffron, but I like that idea.
