Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO VICCI!! - foodfiend - 04-22-2016 Thank you, everyone!!! It was a full day, and the only meal that I cooked was breakfast! DH and Bear took me to a nice little town about an hour away, and we walked, poked thru shops, and had lunch outside at a great restaurant Blacksmith The cocktail (Bees Knees, local honey vodka with lemon over the rocks) was tasty, and the pork bahn mi was delicious. We are already planning a return trip. We stopped for a dessert cupcake at a local bakery, too. Because the worst presidential candidate in the history of the world (IMHO) was coming into the area for a rally that night, we skipped out of town early and went home. A few hours later, we went to a local upscale pizza restaurant for dinner (without puppy) Half Full and I had a goat cheese, roasted red pepper, and artichoke pizza (DH dislikes the cheese and the 'chokes, so it wasn't a pizza combination that I could ever make at home). Dessert was a double-dipped chocolate doughnut with sprinkles. Of course, I forgot my camera each time. It was a good birthday. Yesterday, I forced myself to walk 6 miles. All in all, I don't think that will help much but it felt good to try an do a little penance for my indulging!
