Pork Belly - DFen911 - 07-06-2015

Guess who's Costco had pork bellies on sale?! I am so excited! I bought 2. Now the fun begins

Yeah! Yay? But I've never understood what you do with it/them?

Re: Pork Belly - Harborwitch - 07-06-2015

OMG! Dare I ask how much a lb? I've got a 15lb belly in the freezer - enough for 10lbs of bacon a 5lbs to braise. I just saw a place that confits pork belly in bacon fat . . . then dredges slabs (slices) in rice flour and deep fries it.

Trixxee, pork bellys (bellies???) are so fun to work with -

I was going to post a few ideas, but I have so many dishes/appetizers that I wouldn't know where to start!!

Have fun Denise - I'm not quite ready to go get my case of them, but I will be soon!!!

Sharon $1.99lb

Wow! I can get it from a butcher 25 miles away. $8.00 lb. One farmer's market is only $7.50 lb. You did great!!
