Keeping Spanakopita Crispy - farnfam - 06-21-2013 Making a batch tomorrow to take out on the boat, with wine of course How can you pack it and keep it crispy? Re: Keeping Spanakopita Crispy - cjs - 06-22-2013 Wish I could help Cis - but the only time (darn near every wedding) I made spanakopita was to bake at last minute before serving. Hopefully someone will have the answer. Re: Keeping Spanakopita Crispy - labradors - 06-22-2013 Maybe something like one of those "Krispy Kans" used for crackers? Re: Keeping Spanakopita Crispy - Lorraine - 06-22-2013 I always put parchment paper between the layers. Re: Keeping Spanakopita Crispy - cjs - 06-22-2013 After they're baked, Lorraine?? Re: Keeping Spanakopita Crispy - Lorraine - 06-22-2013 Yes, after they are baked and cooled. I don't know if an insulated bag would keep them warm enough (I've never used one), but , at the very least, they are not touching each other. Re: Keeping Spanakopita Crispy - farnfam - 06-22-2013 Thanx, I'll try it! Re: Keeping Spanakopita Crispy - Lorraine - 06-23-2013 So, how did it work out? Re: Keeping Spanakopita Crispy - farnfam - 06-23-2013 They still didn't stay real crisp, maybe better than the first time though Not a one left over, so what does that tell ya Re: Keeping Spanakopita Crispy - cjs - 06-24-2013 Good for you, Cis - and how many fish did you catch?????? and what kind? |
