T.G.I.F. Dinner, 6/14/13?? - cjs - 06-14-2013 What's on the menu for everyone today?? Bob & Sharon have to work today, so I'm in charge of dinner. I think we'll have a pasta carbonara and a salad. Sharon did some swt. potato fries (chips) last night which were the hit of dinner for me - she tossed with cornstarch and seasonings. They were just delicious as was the rest of her 'fajita' style dinner. Re: T.G.I.F. Dinner, 6/14/13?? - Trixxee - 06-14-2013 Chicken teriyaki bowls. Nothing too exciting. Re: T.G.I.F. Dinner, 6/14/13?? - karyn - 06-14-2013 Yummy burgers here. We did the Quadruple Chile Cheeseburgers from Serious Eats. Totally delicious!!! Re: T.G.I.F. Dinner, 6/14/13?? - Old Bay - 06-14-2013 We did the C@H fish tacos (April 07). Again delicious!, We served them with a tomato, avocado, cilantro, lime , and oil salad. A friendly Sancerre brought it all together and cemented a beautiful culinary experience. Recommended! Re: T.G.I.F. Dinner, 6/14/13?? - Harborwitch - 06-15-2013 All I can say is "burp"! Amazing dinner - and Jean had to gild the lilly with Bourbon Peanut Butter Milkshakes. WOW! Thank you for an amazing dinner! Re: T.G.I.F. Dinner, 6/14/13?? - cjs - 06-15-2013 Thanks Sharon - I agree, I was really pleased with dinner. We have had the salmon Club sliders before, but the 2 noodle salads were a first. As was the wonderful and scary Peanut Butter Bourbon Milkshake. Here's the milkshake recipe and I'll post the noodle salads in the Salad thread. Peanut Butter Bourbon Milkshake 2 oz. bourbon 1/2 oz. maple syrup 1/4 cup crunchy peanut butter 1 cup vanilla ice cream (we used yogurt) 1 cup of ice cubes (or use however many to make as thick a shake as you prefer) Combine all ingred. in a blender, and blend until fully incorporated and frothy.
