Has anyone tried the recipe for Italian meringue buttercream, issue 60 (December 2006), page 50? It's in the section about Warren Brown from CakeLove. I'm thinking of making it for an upcoming birthday.

Well, since my issue #60 is still missing (are you sure, Tracie Lee???
), I looked on the other site for this - I only found icing/frosting - is that what you're talking about? I didn't see a cake reference...

If it's from issue 60, that must be it. The sugar and water is boiled first, then added to 5 egg whites. Butter is added last.
