well you know this is off the wall enough that I'm going to have to go into the 'test kitchen mode' and try it.

Well, I used this method to cook the pasta for my sesame noodles and it worked great! I think the pasta was cooked perfectly almost immediately after the water boiled. I'll be using this method more in the future.

I have done it - and it worked. I haven't tried it with Barilla's gluten free pasta yet, may have to try that.
You only live once . . . but if you do it right once should be enough!
