Does anyone have a to die for chicken salad recipe? I know it is not a typical winter meal but I am hungry for chicken salad. I really would like a recipe that at least has chicken, grapes & nuts in it.

Ahhhhh... The Wawa stores (local 24/7 convenience stores) serve up already made sandwiches and have a Waldorf Chicken Salad sandwich that's awesome! It has walnuts and grapes in it. Maybe you could google that for a recipe.

Fincher posted the following recipe on C2C three years ago. I've never tried it, but my parents liked it, and it got a good response on C2C.

Wish I could help, but when I make chicken salad it's usually a clean the fridge exercise and never the same twice. But, I agree it has to have grapes and nuts.

Hey, IcyMist. I live in Tampa also. Below is a chicken salad (with grapes) recipe I make and get requests for the recipe all the time. I got this from a local Tampa magazine some years back.
Chicken Salad 8 cups shredded cooked chicken 2 cups walnuts, toasted and chopped 1 cup diced celery 2/3 cup water chestnuts 2 tsp finely chopped green onions (optional) 4 cups halved seedless red grapes ½ cup raisins 1 cup (or more) mayonnaise Toss all ingredients in a large bowl until well mixed. Chill several hours before serving. Makes 8-12 large servings.
