I've collected community/charity cookbooks from places I visit for a long time. I didn't know it was considered a genre of cookbooks. I like them because it tells a lot about a place based on food choices. There are sometimes photos and stories. While I was in Tennessee recently, I bought the Appalachia Habitat for Humanities cookbook. I swear, it has a recipe for Kool-aide in it!
