Sour Cream Tip - esgunn - 01-25-2008 I read in the latest issue of C@H about weeping sour cream. Now, probably everyone knows this - but I didn't know this trick. So I tried it out on my most recent 3 lb container of sour cream. If you smooth the top of the sour cream after using some then it will not get those water puddles in it the next time you go to use it. IT WORKED! Not a single drop of watery whatever weeping out. I have been steadily using up our containter (the kids love sour cream and ranch dip so we go through a lot) and everytime I smooth out the top. Amazing. Re: Sour Cream Tip - pjcooks - 01-25-2008 Hey, that's good to know Erin, I didn't see that. We go through a lot at work and it's always puddle-y. Thanks for the tip! PJ Re: Sour Cream Tip - Gourmet_Mom - 01-25-2008 Nice tip Erin! Thanks. Re: Sour Cream Tip - firechef - 01-26-2008 It also works with cream cheese and some other things as well. Re: Sour Cream Tip - HomeCulinarian - 01-26-2008 Yogurt, too! Re: Sour Cream Tip - smschwag - 01-26-2008 I saw the tip in C@H. Haven't had a chance to try it. Good to know that it works!
