What's on the menu for everyone today??

We have a gift cert. for a favorite restaurant in town, so will use it tonight for an early dinner. No cooking today except I need to get some pizza dough in the freezer and a couple of small batches of jam to make.

Jerk shrimp tacos & cilantro slaw with a mango crema instead of the usual lime.

I haven't a clue. Oddly, I know what I'm having tomorrow night, though! LOL!

Off to look for inspiration!

Turkey meatloaf, and pasta with crookneck squash & yellow pear tomatoes and basil.

That's the plan anyway!

Ha! Our plans already changed. Going out for sushi again. I'm starting to panic that school starts in a week and then we rarely go out during the week because of homework. Might as well live it up for the next 6 days. I can cook later.

Tonight is Mystery-Box night. I have almost all of the individual components done. Now I have to see how [if] it all works when assembled.

Can't wait to hear what you do, Labs!

Went to three stores today looking for those clamshell mushrooms and no one had them. So, I ended up with a nice assortment of cremini, shiitake, button, and oyster mushrooms to make "Wild Mushroom Pappardelle" from Cuisine's Perfect Pasta.

I was going to make this on Sunday, but ended up grilling steak. Summer stuffed chicken breasts with lemon-herb beurre blanc.

We're trying something new...a maque choux with andouille and bacon but no cream. I'm not sure how it will turn out, but we'll see!
