Unwelcome Surprise - Old Bay - 02-09-2011

We returned from our trip to find our home was burglarized. The burglars took all my guns and rifles, all our TV sets, my laptop, and all Janes jewelry that she did not take on the trip. We have insurance, but much of the jewelry had belonged to my mother and we planned to pass it on. I've paid many claims in my career, but now I know how the victims felt--violated. I think of their dirty hands going thru everything in the house as if they had the right to invade my privacy. Disgusting.

Oh, that's horrible news! I'm so sad for you.

Re: Unwelcome Surprise - cjs - 02-09-2011

Oh Bill, your beautiful home - invaded. I'm just sick for you both!! There's just nothing to say to express how awful I feel for you.

It seems ridiculous to even say, "Welcome home"

Oh, Bill! This is just devastating! What an awful thing to have to come home to.

As Jean said, it seems silly to say Welcome Home.

I'm really sorry for what you lost, Bill. I've been broken into a few times, and know that horrible feeling,

Oh Bill! How awful! I hope the police will at least try to track down the perps and at least recover some of your belongings. Especially where the guns are involved.

I would visit any local pawn store for the jewelry.

What a rotten end to a beautiful cruise!
